As the official large featherless biographer here at “Love & Feathers,” I have a confession to make.
For many years, I was dissatisfied with my body shape.
Most women (and increasing numbers of men) know there are several traditional “body shape types” in the fashion world – for instance, there is the “triangle,” the “inverted triangle,” the “diamond,” the “hourglass,” and the “pear.”
Being a pear myself, I used to spend countless hours (especially during my eating disordered years) pinching, prodding, and otherwise attempting to coerce my natural form into any one of the other choices.
At least until I met Pearl.
Pearl is a “no apologies” pear-shaped sidekick.
If he is shaped like a pear, then “pear” must be the best shape to have.
As such, he embraces the pear with an enthusiasm that radiates confidence.
(And, of course, off-the-charts levels of prettiness.)
Today, thanks to Pearl, I too understand how awesome it is to be a pear.
Today, every day with Pearl is another great day to be proud pears….together.
