Day 222: Daring Descent

Even when you have the poshest nest possible, you know that attracting a ladybird will take more than just a display of your undeniable full-feathered prettiness.

This is because ladybirds like to play “hard to get.”

However, putting on a dazzling display of your courage, agility, and daring will make the ladybirds forget all about “hard to get” and have them rushing the nest in no time.

I"ll start my daring descent by gripping the nest handle with just my powerful beak.

I can hear all the ladybirds exhaling in relief that I made it down to the nest alive!

Next I'll leap over the side and free fall down into the soft nesting material.

Now all I have to do is wait here and look fetching until I am swarmed with ladybirds.
Sure, Mom, I’ll pose for one fan photo, but then you’d better stand back as the ladybirds rush the nest!
