Day 279: King of the Jungle

For beings who are lucky enough to be born with soft, aerodynamic feathers and a naturally royal demeanor, the jungle will always be “home.”

There is nothing like surveying your turf from up high in the jungle canopy, seeing everything while still remaining unseen yourself.

In fact, just how the “lion” – that round downy snoozing butterball – ever ended up with the title of “king of the jungle” is an error you are determined to correct.

Here I am, high up in the jungle canopy.
Here I am, high up in my jungle canopy.
I can see everyone and everything, but I blend in perfectly so no one can see me.
I can see everything, but I blend in perfectly so no one can see me.
Will you look at that! The long brown furred member of our flock is about to take yet another restful nap.
My naturally royal demeanor is proof enough that the title of “king of the jungle” belongs to me.
I will just stay up high and keep surveying.
I will just wait here for the crown to arrive.
Hi, Mom. Waffles? Well, sure, the Small Tree can borrow part of my jungle to make some waffles!

Yes, Pearl you are the King of the Kitchen Jungle! You have a very royal and stately presence and notice how your willing slaves give in to your every whim and pleasure.
