Day 93: Managing the Staff

From the outside looking in, many fans might assume the hardest part about being fluffy and famous is finding time to eat so many waffles.

Not so much.

The truth is, one of the toughest parts of the job is managing the staff (who on the whole tend to be large and slow, under-trained, and far too prone to lapse into drooling feather-worship just when they need to be bringing their A-game).

For example, let’s say you have a modeling session scheduled.

Your staff has gathered: your large featherless photographer/personal assistant and your hired modeling props.

You are about to begin….when all of a sudden your photographer is overcome by “cuteness.”

Lighting? Check. Positioning? Check. Okay, I'm ready!

Lighting? Check. Positioning? Check. Props in their places? Check. Okay, I’m ready!

Mom?

Mom?

MOM!

MOM!

I know I look cute, Mom, but chop chop! We've got work to do.

I know I look cute, Mom, but chop chop already! We’ve got work to do.

If I'm not mistaken, it appears my modeling props have forgotten their places. Again.

And if I’m not mistaken, it appears my modeling props have forgotten their places. Again.

Helloooooo....?!

Helloooooo….?!

Yes, you. Get back to your mark. We've got a modeling shoot to finish!

Yes, you. Get back to your mark. We’ve got a modeling shoot to finish!

Sheesh.

Sheesh. A-game, people, A-game.

Mom,

Mom, please let the Small Chef know I will be needing one (1) large warm toasted waffle immediately following this photo shoot.
