Day 157: Eye on the Cheezer

In featherless culture, many young flock members go through a rite of passage where they gather in large groups and throw a small round object around.

During this ritual, it is customary for the more experienced participants to yell at the newbies, “Keep your eye on the ball!”

In the same way, one of the first lessons small feathered predators-in-training learn is where to look to keep freshly caught prey all to yourself…..while also keeping poachers away.

Mom thinks I can't look at her and at the cheesier at the same time.

I’ll bet Mom thinks I can’t look at her and also look at the cheezer at the same time.

Little does she know....

Little does she know….

I can consume a whole prey and never once take my eye off either the poachers or the cheezer.

I can consume a whole prey and never once take my eye off either the poachers or the cheezer.

I'm just that good.

I’m just that good.

In fact, I can consume my portion (well, technically they are all "my portion") and her portion and she still won't figure it out.

In fact, I can consume my portion (well, technically they are all “my portion”) and her portion and she still won’t figure it out.

Nom noM nOM NOM.....

Nom noM nOM NOM…..

Nope. Clueless.

Nope. She’s totally clueless.
