Day 184: Hunting Sunflower Seeds

It takes a seasoned (er) warrior to hunt sunflower seeds.

They are the wiliest nut on the open plains.

For starters, they like to hide by covering themselves with lots of other (delicious) seeds….so often by the time you spot them, it is too late.

This, of course, is because you are already full.

Also, getting them to come out of their shells can be a challenge.

Luckily, when the easy way doesn’t work, there is always the hard way.

Ho, ho, ho.....and what have we here?
Ho, ho, ho…..and what have we here?
A well-constructed disguise, if I do say so myself.....but not well-constructed enough.

Lucky for me (and unlucky for you) I'm not full yet.
Luckily for me (and unluckily for you) I’m not full yet.
But don't you worry....you are the lucky nut who gets to help with that!

What did I say that sounded like I care if you want to help?
Here are your two choices: the easy way or the hard way.
You can't pick "neither." Well, because you just can't!

I know, Mom - I couldn't believe it either! "Neither." As if.

The hard way it was!

Why yes, my belly IS quite full now - thanks for asking!
