Wet Bird Couture: The Stingray

The stingray is a cartilaginous fish closely related to that most fearsome of ocean predators – the shark.

But the stingray can go the shark one better.

This is because the stingray has two ways to dispatch prey: its sharp teeth and its venomous barbed stinger.

A stingray looking happy (because it is just about to dispatch tasty prey).

Clearly it takes a very confident, powerful (and hungry) model to duplicate the singularly happy predatory look of the stingray.

  1. My goodness, Pearl. You look quite fierce this morning. My large featherless assistant always says I look like a drowned rat after a shower. Perhaps I need a new featherless assistant. Squeak
