    Happines is:
-Sitting for breakfast and seeing how one of my boys, Kibou flies to keep me company and get his morning dose of scritches.
-Having Cachi on my shoulder and give me cuddles while I scratch his head and sing to him.
-Hearing my cockatiel flock’s happy chirps when they hear me get home (and sometimes even when they hear my car alarm’s beep, which they have learned to recognize.)
-When one of my hens, Chui lands on my shoulder and without seeing her I recognize it’s her by the way her feet walk on my shoulder to settle herself.

Happiness is….looking forward to having another feather baby in the house again after the heart shattering loss of my BFF (best feathered friend) of nineteen years, Sunny, last February to a kidney tumor. It’s been a hard road to get to this point where I can open my heart again. That road was filled with an ocean of tears, heartache and lonely days. My new feather baby is 19 days old today and I can’t wait to bring him home in mid-January! They really do bring so much happiness and joy into our lives, don’t they? 😊❤️🐥

Happiness is….getting a new baby cockatiel in mid-January! I lost my beloved BFF (best feathered friend) of nineteen years, Sunny, last Febuary to a kidney tumor. The decision to put her to sleep was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. I know it was the right thing to do for her. I couldn’t see her suffer anymore. We read Pearl’s blog everyday together. See loved looking at Pearl’s pictures! It’s been a very long road to get to the point of getting another feather baby. I was so depressed. Tears rolled down my cheeks daily and still do, My heart was shattered in a million pieces. I never thought I could find it in me to have another bird. I know Sunny would not want be to be sad that she wasn’t here. She would want me to give her favorite left shoulder to another lucky tiel. Her perch, favorite mirror and disco ball (that she hated, by the way!) are there for another to enjoy, too! This is what she would want me to do and how could I say no to such a beautiful lutino cockatiel that gave me her love, trust and a gazillion beaky kisses.

Happiness is: Birdy excitement every morning when I get them up. They immediately start chirping and running back& forth until the play top goes up and then all three fly right to my shoulders (except Napoleonic Budgie who always goes to my head!) By the way, said Budgie is also the first to seek me out whenever I come home. It’s as if he has to lead the Tiels to wherever I am. Makes me feel such love.
