Pearl’s Happiness Is…. (WIN A FREE BOOK!)

Big or small, short or tall, young or old, rich or poor, feathered or featherless, there is so much happiness to be found in this world.

And since Monday is the most stressful day of the week for many featherless beings (on account of something called “work”), Pearl figures it is also the perfect day for his weekly tutorial on finding happiness!

Here is this week’s very feathery entry:

Happiness is....when your VIP fan sends you "priority mail" and it's all for you (you are sure the name "Malti" on the shipping label is just a courtesy).
Happiness is….when your VIP fan sends you “priority mail” and you know whatever is inside is all for you (on account of how you are sure the name “Malti” on the shipping label is just a courtesy).

Now you try it!

“Happiness is…… (fill in the blanks with one or many entries!)”

BeakOGraphRight_cropPost your entries in the comments section below to be entered into a drawing to win a FREE beak-o-graphed BOOK (1 entry per person; 1 book drawing per month while supplies last).

  1. Happiness is watching inspirational TED talks with my boyfriend and meeting his mom this weekend. It is enjoying dinner and quality time with my family. It is long walks watching the sunrise and enjoying breathing in the fresh spring air. Happiness is laughing with my coworkers until tears are streaming down my face. It is discovering my passion for eating disorder activism and helping others. Happiness is knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of even one of the clients that I work with as a therapist. It is using the struggles that I have been through to become stronger. Happiness is knowing that life is incredibly short but it is also filled with beautiful things-if only you know where to look.

Happiness is watching TED talks with my boyfriend and cuddling on his couch. It is meeting his mom for the first time this weekend over Chinese food and a fortune cookie that told me I would be showered in blessings. It is talking walks and watching the sunrise, while breathing in the fresh spring air. It is discovering my passion for eating disorder activism. It is watching one of my clients achieve a milestone. It is knowing that I have made even a small difference in the lives of one of the girls that I work with struggling with mental health challenges. It is moving to a beautiful townhouse in a week with coworkers. It is discovering that struggles which I have been through have only served to make me a stronger person. It is a good book and a warm cup of tea after a long day. It is spending quality time with my family and hearing stories from my grandmothers about their childhood. It is reconnecting with old friends and reminiscing. It is recognizing that life is incredibly short and filled with both breathtakingly beautiful and also terrible moments-and realizing that you are so thankful for all of them.

Happiness is coming home after a miserable day at work and my birds fly to me and start preening my hair and laying their heads on my neck. Instant stress reducer.

Happiness is knowing that no matter what is going on in life, you have a pet at home that wants nothing more then to be with you and love you! That is the BEST feeling in the world!! ❤️🐥

  5. Happiness is listening to little beaks grind with content before bedtime. It is full crops and food faces. It is being asked for scritches and getting my face preened in return!
