The hummingbird hawk-moth is one of those rare beings that has the best of all worlds.

It is an insect that everyone likes (on account of how they think it is a cute, plump hummingbird and not an insect at all).

It is a moth nobody messes with (on account of how they think it is a fierce, hungry hawk).

It is also a moth that is quite musical (on account of how its wings beat so fast they hum!).
