Friday Wet Bird Couture: “The Royal Flycatcher”

The male Amazonian royal flycatcher (or just “royal flycatcher” for short), is a real ladybird’s manly manbird.

It doesn’t have to buy her flowers, feed her delicacies, or even spend time constructing a posh nest in the hope that she will pick him to make eggs with.

Nope. He just waits until a pretty ladybird wings by and – voila! His colorful crest opens to display his love for all the world to see.

Clearly, it takes a very confident manly super(manbird)model to accurately capture the romantic suaveness of this look.

Wet Bird Couture is proud to unveil Pearl Cutts modeling “The Royal Flycatcher.”

Notice how the suavely confident manly supermanbirdmodel awaits the arrival of his love.
Notice how the model’s crest and head feathers remain perfectly (and quite artfully) arranged as he confidently awaits the arrival of his ladybird love.
