Day 335: Tortoise Begs for Treats

It can pay to be slow and low to the ground when you live in an interspecies flock.

From this unique vantage point, you can quickly learn who is in charge of what and how to work them for all they are worth.

For example, it doesn’t take long to learn that your large shell-less assistant is the only flock member who is tall enough to open the big white box where your snacks are stored.

So you need to figure out what works to get her to open it for you and retrieve the desired delicacies.

It takes no time at all to learn what your small loud feathery brother does to accomplish this. He simply sits on top of her!

Easy peasy.

Climbing on top of your assistant is like pushing a button on a remote control – it sends her straight to the big white box to open the door and deliver your snacks!
