When it comes to love, it doesn’t matter if you have a shell, no shell, feathers, fur, fins or none of the above.

Everyone has a love language.

Every being has something that says “I love you” more than anything else.

That something – whether it is shell scratches or a sweet private mud wallow or a crispy fern – it is like handing the one you adore a personalized love letter just for them.

It usually isn’t too hard to figure out what that something is, either.

You just have to know how to look for it.

It is the thing that always – ALWAYS – makes them light up from the inside out.

It is what puts the best day in the world straight over the top and the worst day in the world back on the map.

It is the thing that, when you give it, undeniably spells L-O-V-E.

How does a redfooted tortoise spell L-O-V-E? Grandma’s organic steamed salmon, of course!
