Day 215: Extra Sensory Delicacy Perception

When you have feathers, sometimes the large featherless beings think they can hide the preparation of delicacies from you.

Luckily you have something (well many things) they don’t.

One of those things just happens to be a healthy helping of “ESDP” (Extra Sensory Delicacy Perception).

For instance, there is the presence of the plates, the brown table paper your featherless family seems to favor over a tablecloth whenever they dine “with avian,” the small chef hovering over that heated launchpad with the four black cylinders.

Even a non-avian could successfully read those clues and figure out what is about to transpire.

My keen avian intellect senses the preparation of delicacies.
My keen avian ESDP senses the preparation of delicacies.
All the evidence is here, and yet.....no delicacies.
All the evidence is here, and yet…..no delicacies.
But the delicacies can't hide from me forever. I'll just keep my eyes peeled.
But my ESDP is never wrong. I will just wait for the subtle presence of delicacies to turn into actual delicacies I can nab for my breakfast.

And of course, it is very satisfying when you are right….yet again.

Yup. This is a delicacy for sure. Plus the small chef put it on the Tall Tree's plate so it must be the best delicacy of the day.

Mom, do you mind? I'm trying to enjoy my portion here.

Yes, this delicacy was definitely worth waiting for - nice and warm with a fine, tender flavor. I give it my highest non-waffle rating.
