Day 24: Fluffy Feather Syndrome

Highly paid official weatherpeople are dubbing this rogue wave of nationwide icy weather the “Omega Block.”

The good folks of Childress, TX, prefer the name “Super Frigid Terrifying Polar Express Storm Vortex Snowpocalypse.”

But here at Casa Feathers n’ Beak, we know what it is really called: “Fluffy Feather Syndrome.”

Fluffy Feather Syndrome occurs whenever ambient temperatures drop below whatever the resident avian prefers for them to be.

At this point, a variety of warning signals commence, and continue, and escalate, and intensify, until the situation is rectified.

Boy is it cold in here.
Boy is it cold in here.
Oh so cold.
Oh so cold.
So so chilly.
So so chilly.
Mom's still staring at that rectangular glowing thing with the tasty keys. I'd better ramp up the warning signals.
Mom’s oblivious. I’d better ramp up the warning signals.
I'm cute! I'm so cute! Look at me! Cuteness! Cuteness! Cuteness!
I’m cute! So cute! Cute! Look at me! Cuteness! Cuteness! Cuteness!
It's REALLY cold in here.
Now that I’ve got your attention – it’s REALLY cold in here.
Got it, Mom? C.O.L.D. I.N. H.E.R.E.
