When you are little and cute with fetching feathers, every day is a great day to be, well, you!
But when you wake up on the first day of a whole new year full of days, and it suddenly occurs to you that you have just been given 365 brand new days to be fetching and feathery, this is cause for some serious celebration!
To celebrate, Pearl and his mommy have each decided to set an intention for this most special 1st day of 365 new days.
Pearl’s intention is to “eat more waffles.”
Pearl’s mommy’s intention is to “have faith” (with a secondary intention of using her newfound faith to find new ways to supplement her feathery sidekick’s waffle-centric diet).
Pearl is so excited about this “intention setting” business (seeing as how the moment he set his intention, his Grandma appeared with a fresh piping hot waffle just for him!) that he wants to share it with YOU!
All you have to do is:
- First, set your own New Year’s intention.
- Next, share it with us in the comments section below. 🙂
One lucky intention-setter will win* this beautiful “Out of Cage” Bird Crystal Pendant (your choice of color) just for setting an intention and sharing it here!
Happiest New Year from our flock to yours!
With love (& lots of feathers),
Shannon & Pearl
My resolution is to make a difference (animal welfare) and for my cockateils and greyhounds to be healthy and happy 😊

I have been learning non-dualistic thinking. So I want to practice getting away from judging – good/bad, like/dislike, who’s acceptable vs. not acceptable etc. We humans judge everything and everyone. I want to live more inclusively. Also, being present to my feathered family and their needs!
